My first try at a GnR fic and I was half asleep when writing the first half of it. I wrote this as a late birthday present and a Valentine's Day present for Yuji. I really missed talking to you the three years we lost contact with each other. I'm glad we're talking again~

Summary: Jenny is rained in at her apartment when someone knocks on her door. To her surprise, it’s Mike who is soaked from the rain and needing shelter. Jenny agrees to let him stay and dry off until the storm passes. What will happen during their time together when feelings are revealed?
Jenny sighed as she flipped through the channels on TV. Of all the days for there to be nothing on, it has to be the day that she’s rained in at her apartment. She could try to go out somewhere but would probably be soaked by the time she gets there and doesn’t know where she’d go anyway. She had planned to go to a nearby Guns N’ Roses concert but that had been canceled due to the heavy rain. Sighing again, she turned the TV off and leaned back against the back of the couch, closing her eyes. Nothing to do...why can’t anything exciting ever happen to her?
Jenny’s train of thought was broken by a knock at her door. She sat up quickly, looking at her door. Had she dreamed it? Anyone who would be outside is bound to be soaked by now. When she heard the knock again, knew it wasn’t her imagination. She quickly ran and got a few towels from the hall closet before opening the door. She swears her mouth dropped at seeing Mike from GnR standing soaked on her doorstep.
"Umm, can I help you?" She asked
"I was wondering, could I stay here until the storm passes?"
"Sure. My name is Jenny, by the way."
"I’m Mike." He replied
"I know." She said, smiling
Jenny let him and closed the door behind him. She grabbed the towels and handed them to Mike so he could dry off. As he dried his hair, Jenny tried to process what is happening. She has Mike, Mike, from GnR in her apartment. Of all the men to stay in her apartment, its Mike who asked to stay. Blinking back to reality, she realized that he must be freezing, standing there in wet clothes.
"If you would like, I can try and see if I have any dry clothes you can use. That way I can dry your clothes and you won’t be standing around in wet clothes."
"That would be great, thank you."
Jenny pointed the way towards the bathroom for him to stay in while she went and found him some clothes. When she got some guy clothes awhile ago, she didn’t think she was in her right mind. She never wears them except around the house and even that is a rarity. After gathering the clothes into his arms, Jenny walked to the bathroom and knocked softly on the door.
"I’m leaving the dry clothes on the floor just outside the door. Let me know when you’re finished getting dressed so I can put your clothes in the dryer." She told him through the door
"Alright, I will." He replied
Jenny went back into the kitchen/living room area and set some water on to boil. She knows hot chocolate is good on a day like today anyway, but its especially good when you’ve been soaked to the skin. The water was almost ready when Mike came down and Jenny smiled at him. He returned her smile as he sat down on the nearby chair.
"Thank you for letting me stay here during the storm and helping me get dry." He said
"It’s no problem at all. How come you were out in the storm anyway?" Jenny asked him
"I was supposed to meet the rest of the band at the stadium and didn’t realize there was a huge storm rolling in. When it first started to rain, I realized why no one had showed up and was trying to head back when the sky opened up on me." Mike told her
"It was smart to seek shelter then." She said and looked down when the tea kettle screamed at her. "Would you like some hot chocolate?"
At his approval, Jenny fixed him a mug of hot chocolate. After telling him to make himself at home, she went to put his clothes in the dryer. She can’t keep a smile off her face. For a long time, Jenny has always thought Mike was cute. That’s why she’s kept going to all of their concerts that it was possible for her to go to. Never in a million years had she dreamed that she would actually get to meet him!
When she got back, Mike was sitting on the couch, looking at the assortment of magazines she has on her coffee table. She smiled as she fixed her hot chocolate before sitting down next to him. Luckily for her, she doesn’t keep anything personal on the table. Mike looked ready to say something before he saw her GnR concert ticket that was supposed to be today. He smiled at her.
"You’re a fan?" He asked
"Yeah, I’ve been to a bunch of your concerts before." She replied
"That’s where I recognized you from! I thought I knew your face and I must have seen you at a concert." Mike said, smiling
Jenny blushed, she hadn’t realized that her face was one that he would remember since he has tons of fans. There must be tons of girls who are better looking then she is and probably nicer too. Of the band members, Mike is the only one Jenny felt a slight attraction to. She doesn’t know why it was him out of all of them, but she just feels the closest with him, even though she doesn’t really know him at all.
"I didn’t know that I was that memorable." She muttered
"I’m not sure why myself, but ever since I first saw you, I’ve wanted to see you again. I’m just lucky that when I needed to ask for shelter, your apartment was the first one I knocked on."
She blushed but tried to hide it so she won’t give off how she feels about Mike. She has a crush on him, as she’s sure many of his other fans do as well. She doesn’t think he’s married and hopes not, but wouldn’t want to be flirting with someone else’s boyfriend. True, there haven’t been any reports of Mike having a girlfriend but it’s also possible to keep that hidden from the news. To keep herself from thinking too much of the man sitting next to her, she turned on the TV.
Jenny nearly jumped when she felt Mike’s arm casually drape across her shoulders. She looked out her window and saw that the rain didn’t look like it would be letting up anytime soon. They turned on some show that neither of them really understood what was going on, but it was something to watch. At some point, Jenny moved her head to Mike’s shoulder and closed her eyes.
Mike looked down at Jenny and smiled when he saw she was asleep. Using his other arm, he brushed the hair from her eyes. Why has he been so drawn to her every time he sees her? There’s just something about her that keeps him wanting to know more about her but he doesn’t know what it is. Deciding to take a nap like Jenny is, Mike turned the TV off and shifted so he’s lying down on the couch with her in his arms.
It was a few hours before Jenny woke up. She blushed when she did because Mike had also fallen asleep so she was laying on top of him with her head on his chest and his arms around her waist. She gently nudged Mike awake as she got up. He stretched, making her smile. She got up and looked out the window.
"Looks like the storm’s stopped." She commented
"Yeah, it’s probably safe enough for me to head back. The guys are probably wondering where I am." Mike said
"I’ll go get your clothes." She said and left the room to get his clothes that are dry by now
Jenny’s face turned red as soon as she left the room. She doesn’t know when or how she fell asleep but it felt really good to wake up in his arms. She also knows that the chances of that happening ever again are slim to none. After today, she’ll probably only see him in concerts, like she used to. With a light sigh, she gathered his clothes into her arms and took them to him.
Five minutes later, he was back down, fully dressed. Mike opened his mouth to say something but thought better of it. He has no idea how she would react to seeing him again, outside of concerts. Finally, he spoke, wanting to know that he can see her again.
"Jenny, would it be alright if sometimes we hung out outside of concerts? I had fun today."
"Really? Sure, that would be nice."
As Jenny gave him her number, her face felt like it was getting hotter and hotter. He wants to see her again! Should she tell him how much she likes him or just wait? As she handed him her cell phone number, she knew she has to decide if she wants to tell him now or not. When he turned towards the door, she made up her mind.
"Mike."
"What is it?" He asked
"I like you, I really like you." She whispered
Jenny looked away from him, not wanting to see the rejection on his face that is surely to come. Anyone she’s ever liked has always rejected her and here she is, confessing her love to a member of a famous band. There’s no doubt in her mind that she’s going to be rejected. To her surprise, she felt Mike’s gentle hand under her chin, making her look towards him. To avoid looking, she closed her eyes only to open them in surprise a second later when she felt his lips on hers. She returned the kiss, surprised at his actions. He was the first to speak.
"I like you too Jenny."
